A leading light of transcendent New Age music who has also built audiences in the reggae and world realms, Shimshai brings his band Seraphim Sound to celebrate the release of his CD “True Heart.” Shimshai explores the realm of the spirit through world, reggae, and folk music. While he often performs solo or in small group settings, because “True Heart” is his first full-band album in nearly a decade, Shimshai is presenting a high-energy concert with Seraphim Sound.

Shimshai’s music is “an enchanted mixture of spirit and soul, danceable and tranceable,” according to EarthBeat Records founder Lieb Ostrow. Shimshai sings uplifting devotional lyrics with a universal message of truth, set to reggae-inspired acoustic folk grooves. An advocate of the simple, sacred life, over the past decade he has taken his music along the West Coast and to New Age festivals around the world, including Holland, Switzerland, Spain, Israel, and Germany. He plays piano, guitar, sitar, woodwinds, and ukulele, accompanied by an array of musicians. His self-produced recordings feature him singing in several languages, all linked to the universal language of Love and Oneness.
