The Bay Area's 7th Street Band has made its name backing some of the greats and new voices of reggae. For over two decades 7th Street has been hitting West Coast stages such as Reggae on the River, Sierra Nevada World Music Festival, Seattle Hemp Fest, Reggae In the Hills, Monterey Bay Reggae Fest, Catalyst, New Parrish, Elbow Room/Dub Mission, Maritime Hall, Rockit Room, Palookaville, Sweetwater Musichall, Dub Club LA, Nectar, Moes Alley, Yoshi's SF, New Karribean City, Craneway Pavillion, Shattuck Down-Low, The Hopmonk, Leap Farms, Bolinas Community Center, Area 101, Mateel Community Center, and their favorite hometown, home-cookin Ashkenaz. Drummer Edi Arnold and keyboardist Benjamin Goff, friends since high school, have played together since 1992. The East bay early 90's reggae scene heavily influenced 7th Street. Live shows at Ashkenaz and Berkeley Square by artists such as Strictly Roots, Burning Bush, Reggae Angels, Sista I-Live, Carl T and the Out of Many One crew, gave 7th Street early inspiration. Bonded like brothers, they continue to push the music. Edi, commander in chief, and Ben, secretary of state, have been the fire, commitment and drive behind 7th Street's works.

Called one of the Bay Area’s best-kept musical secrets, 7th Street has backed many top touring Reggae vocalists, including Sanchez, Gappy Ranks, Glenn Washington, Konshens, Warrior King, Marlon Asher, Keznamdi, Delly Ranx, Louie Culture, Ziggy Recado and Million Stylez. Over the years, 7th Street has worked with over 50 different dynamic vocalists including: Perfect, Reemah, Blakkamoore, Arkaingelle, Mega Banton, Norris Man, Danny I, Army, Rocker T, Wadi Gad, Tuff Lion, Soulmedic, Zahira, Earl Zero, Winstrong, Bobby Hustle, Junior Toots, Binghi Ghost and the late, great Luv Fyah. Bay Area staple Jason 'Jay Stone' Collins, leader of the legendary Funkanauts on guitar and Salinas' own, Mony Lujan (lead singer and bassie of Dubwize) round out the quartet that makes up the heart of 7th St. Band. Additional musicians include Barry Capiaux, Kerry Wing, Cliff Manswell, Ryan 'Hotta Tunes', Rocker-T(rhythm guitar) and Seth Theodore.
