  • Ashkenaz Music & Dance Community Center 1317 San Pablo Avenue Berkeley, CA, 94702 United States (map)

Doors at 6pm

🍷🌎 You’ve heard of wine pairings with food, but have you ever experienced a wine pairing with a region’s music and dance? Join us for Ashkenaz’s new Wine Around the World Series, a one-of-a-kind multi-sensory cultural experience that travels the globe pairing wine, music, and dance, resulting in perfect harmony.

Each event features lively performances from master musicians and dancers, along with in-depth presentations on the regional wines from the experts – each expressing their relationship with a shared culture.

Our first stop in the Wine Around the World Series: Argentina! 🇦🇷

Celebrate Valentine’s Day with Argentinean culture and traditions – a unique blend of Latin American indigenous traditions and European customs.

One of Argentina’s most well-known cultural inventions is the tango, a romantic partner dance that blends European, Caribbean and African influences, which originated in Buenos Aires in the 19th century.

Argentina is also world-renowned for its wine, and is the fifth largest wine producer in the world. One of Argentina’s most famous wine-producing regions is Mendoza, home of the Malbec. Malbecs are sensuous, rich reds that have more earthy tones.

Tickets: $65 per person, includes a tasting featuring four different wines.

Doors open at 6:00. Presentation of wine, dance and music from 6:30-8:30.

💕 Come join us and celebrate love this Valentine's Day with an incredible night of Argentinean food, dance, and -- of course -- lots of wine!
