Hailing from Oakland, California, The Flannels are a lively and spirited band who have made their mark in the Bay Area by producing and presenting the community with high-energy, multi-artistic festivals and parties. The Flannels made a strong impression on the Bay Area music scene on February 19th 2022, when they put together their first ever “FlannelFest”, a collaboration with local visual artists from all over the Bay Area. In their second event, “The Flannels: Throw a Party”, with help from local artists, the band brought in over 200 people to dance, buy art, and become a part of the Flannel community. Most recently, for “FlannelFest 2” the Flannels put on a show at Oakland Style Labs, a local fashion and art gallery, which attracted a lively crowd from all over the bay. These events were described as a “multi-medium artistic treat” by KQED in a recent article written about the band by Morris Hayes. Just this past month the Flannels have played at both the Laurel StreetFair World Music Festival and the San Jose Summer Fest. The Flannels have several projects and events in the works that they are eager to announce, and are hoping to turn the energy up a notch in each of their upcoming shows.
